Boys Junior Varsity Baseball, Boys Varsity Baseball · Mike Byrne named new Head Baseball Coach

The Cuyahoga Heights Board of Education approved Michael Byrne as the new Head Baseball Coach for the upcoming 2021 season.  Byrne will replace Jacob Solomon, who left for St. Edward High School.
Mike Byrne is 2010 graduate of Holy Name High School where he played varsity baseball following a transfer from Medina High School. He went on to catch at the college level for 2 different programs: CCBC Catonsville in Catonsville, MD and Cuyahoga Community College. Mike earned a Masters Degree in Integrated Language Arts from Baldwin Wallace College. and is currently an ELA teacher at Strongsville High School.  His coaching career includes stops at Padua Franciscan High School (3 years), Ohio Elite (2 years), Premier Athletics (4 years), Valley Forge High School (1 year) and one year at Wando HS in Charleston, SC.   Mike brings great knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion to our district and baseball program.  Welcome to Heights Nation,  Mike!
